Welcome to the very first ever MUSTAINE AWARD! The Mustaine Awards were created as I found it criminal that Megadeth has been nominated for a Grammy award SEVEN times and has never won. Dave Mustaine and Megadeth are true metal legends, and don't deserve to be beaten repeatedly by (sometimes) lesser bands.
The way the Mustaine awards work is as follows; each week an artist will be chosen to receive the award based on their tireless support and dedication to metal. The only metal artists that are exempt from winning a Mustaine Award are those artists that cruelly stopped Megadeth from winning a Grammy; Metallica, Nine Inch Nails, Ozzy Osbourne, Soundgarden and Tool.
The first Mustaine Award is proudly and humbly awarded to (drum roll)...
DAVE MUSTAINE AND MEGADETH (..well obviously)
The award they receive is completely open to discussion. To get the ball rolling I suggest one of the following
Best metal snarl
Best band formed by an ex-member of Metallica
Best metal band to use a chorus sung entirely in French
etc.
